Interview with Mark
1. Favorite thing about the Repalcements? They're the first rock/post punk band that sent out melody, insight and great tunes that simultaneously pulled at my heart, my guts and my ears. as far as rock goes, i'm still waiting for something to top the mats experience.
2. Replacements history?first heard them: patrick beach,
my arts & entertainment editor at the Iowa state daily told me if i
wanted to write about music for the paper i HAD to go buy "let it be" and
i HAD to look him in the eye and tell him that i
agreed with him that it was the greatest frickin' album. and it worked
out just like that.
3. Why pay tribute? Why are we bothering? the mats changed our musical lives and the tunes will always ring true! dang! i need to go and play "pleased to meet me" really loud right now.
