The Marlowes - a rock & roll band with one foot in the grave
and the other one in the gutter.
Interview with John Larson.
1. What's your favorite thing about the Replacements?
My favorite thing about the 'Mats is their rare ability to connect on an
emotional level while still rockin' out. When did you first hear about
them/ become a fan (honestly)?
2. Replacements history? I first heard "I Will Dare"
on a college radio station and was completely sucked in by the infectious
guitar riff. I immediately went out and bought Let It Be and have been
hooked ever since.
3. Why are you bothering to pay tribute to 'em? Because
somebody needs to. They are the voice of my generation, the 80's Bob Dylan,
albeit a little hoarse and beautifully rough around the edges.
